Review.
For this project we had to do a 90 second advert for the NHS, ours was to promote the benefits of becoming a member. We started off by having a brain storm to come up with some ideas; we then decided on a few and picked our chosen one from them. Our idea was to show people signing up to become a member and then daydreaming of what the benefits of becoming a member.
We filmed in the hospital and edited the footage on Adobe Premier Pro. We had to highlight all the benefits of becoming a member and how to become one.
We had four people in our group and we were each given different tasks to complete, this worked well as it meant we had enough time to complete each of the pre production sheets and plenty of time for filming and editing. The pre production tasks included Location Recce, Call Sheets, Risk Assessments, Production Diary, Storyboards, Treatments and Production Schedule.
Our strengths were in the planning of our product. All pre production sheets were completed to a good standard and we knew what we were meant to be doing and when because we had used the resources given to us correctly.
We had to rearrange filming dates because of people’s attendance, therefore we were also unable to view and edit footage as we couldn’t get onto the log in it was being kept on as that member of the group was not in on certain days.
If we were asked to a project similar to this we would probably try and use more locations and camera angles. It might also be an idea to take more of the same shots so that we have more to work with. I think next time we could also try playing around with the lighting a bit more to make it look more professional.
Our final product did meet the requirements set by the initial brief as we were asked to promote the benefits of becoming a member and i think we have managed that with our product.
